When Roko Health Club asked us to create video content for their York gym, the goal was clear: show off the breadth of facilities and create a bank of short, engaging assets that could be used across advertising, social media, and their new website. For Simply Thrilled, it was a chance to demonstrate how video production in York can bring a community-focused brand to life.

Roko wanted to highlight the variety of activities available at their club while appealing to a wide demographic – from teenagers just starting their fitness journeys to older members enjoying aqua classes and yoga. Our job was to capture the energy, diversity, and welcoming feel of Roko York in a way that made people say, “I could see myself there.”
The filming day was tightly scheduled, with call sheets covering every aspect: gym activities, pool sessions, studio classes, and lifestyle elements like the lounge and café. We filmed adults using cardio and strength equipment, high-energy classes like Pump and Spin, and calming sessions like Pilates. In the pool, we captured everything from swimming lessons for families to older members enjoying aqua fitness.
Diversity was central. The client asked for representation across multiple age groups and ethnicities, so our York videographers worked with both staff and members to ensure the footage reflected a realistic, inclusive community. A dedicated production assistant oversaw model release forms to make sure everything was smooth on the day.
From a production standpoint, we kept branding minimal, letting the facilities and people shine.
